So that Hawkeys flat can remain available for use by friends and family, it is necessary for everyone to share the cost of the upkeep of the flat. This upkeep includes, council tax, insurance, water and sewage, TV licence, Telephone, Broadband and general maintenance and repairs.

We have now appointed a cleaner who will clean in between changeovers on a Sunday. Details will be posted here when we sort a few things out. The cleaner will hoover and dust etc, but is not employed to wash up. All kitchen items used must still be cleaned before leaving.

The current price to rent the flat is £30 per night.

The flat is not available to rent, and so all costs need to be met by the daily contribution made for the flat. The flat day is usually calculated to be from 12.00am to 12:00am the following day. Please ensure that you leave the flat by 11am on your leaving day to allow for the cleaning of the flat. The contribution is for occupants present in the flat between 6:00 pm and 6:00 am.   Anyone using the phone or broadband, and incurring costs for overseas calls and calls to mobiles etc., should expect to have any extra charges caused, to be passed back to them.

Please note that the rubbish bags are collected on Tuesday mornings, and that the rubbish should be put out on Monday evenings in Black bags. As can happen, putting out the bags and recycling can be missed, in which case please arrange to take any rubbish to the recycling centre at Porth. The Calendar on the kitchen wall will clearly show which weeks are recycling weeks. Any consumable items such as toilet paper, bulbs, kitchen roll, black bags, etc. should  be replaced when they run  out.

When the flat is wanted, available dates can be booked online on the booking page or an Email to admin@hawkeys.co.uk will secure a booking in the flat diary. The booking cannot be used, or relied on, until the payment for the daily contribution is received, and banked in the flat account. All cheques must be made payable to J P Higham. If at all possible, it is easier and quicker to pay via BACS transfer or online banking. The flat will be let on a first come, first served, basis starting at 1st of January each year. Please ensure where possible, that preliminary reservations are changed to confirmed bookings, by sending your share of the expenses, at least two months before your intended occupancy. This will allow others to use the flat, if a reservation is not used.
